Windsor Art Center Awarded one of the 2009 Bridge-Builder Awards

As stated on the Town of Windsor's website:  "The Windsor Arts Center at the Freight House was selected based on their work in furthering the understanding of a culture through art. They have given the community an understanding of a multi-cultural society by bringing artists of all different races and ethnic backgrounds to perform and display their work at the freight house at 40 Mechanic Street.

All town residents and businesses are invited to a special celebration on Thursday, Sept. 24 in the Council Chambers on the lower level of Windsor Town Hall at 275 Broad Street. An hors d’oeuvres reception will begin at 6 p.m. and the awards presentation will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. To reserve a seat, call Diane McDougald at (860) 285-1984 . Invitation forms are available at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall, at the Main branch and the Wilson branches of the Windsor Public Library, and at L P. Wilson Community Center, outside of the Recreation Department.
