Windsor Boys No. 1 In State

Class LL champion Windsor was named the No. 1 team in The Courant's final boys basketball ratings Monday. Following the Warriors in the next three spots are Class M champion Sacred Heart-Waterbury, Class S winner Cromwell and Class L champion Bulkeley-Hartford.

Windsor, Cromwell, Bulkeley and Class M runner-up Bloomfield are the top four in final area ratings. Windsor capped its season Saturday night at Mohegan Sun Arena, defeating Crosby-Waterbury 72-69 in the LL final as Doug Soutar scored a team-high 26.

"That game it was Doug. Another it was Steven [Samuels] or Adrian [Satchell] or Tyrus [Weaver] or somebody else," said Windsor coach Ken Smith. "We had a deep team."
