Mentors Sought For Students
In recognition of National Mentoring Month the Windsor public school system is seeking adults to mentor students in local schools.
In Windsor's program adult mentors are matched with students who have shared interests. Mentors make a commitment to meet regularly with the student at his or her school during the school day or after school programs. Mentors are not expected to tutor students, though they may participate in various learning activities with them. Their primary role is to demonstrate support for students by spending time, listening and sharing in activities they both enjoy.
For information or to express interest in becoming a mentor, call Ceila Robbins, the school district's mentoring coordinator, at 860-687-2000, Ext. 272.
