Historical Society's House Tour Sept. 11

Tickets are available for the Windsor Historical Society's "Doorways to Our Patriotic Past" tour of historic town homes planned for Sept. 11.

Seven homes representing architectural styles from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, and an historic school building, will be featured. Volunteers will be present at each site to provide architectural information and historical context Some of the houses have never been open to the public before.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the day of the tour, which lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A total of 700 tickets will be made available.

Advance tickets may be purchased at the society headquarters, 96 Palisado Ave., Bill Selig Jewelers, 161 Broad St., Bart's Drive-In/The Beanery Bistro, 25 Central St. and Ashley's Distinctive Jewelry and Gifts, 555 Day Hill Road. They can also be ordered on-line at http://windsorhistoricalsociety.org.
