On October 1st, 2009, Kelly Koretz won $50 in Windsor’s First Thursday raffle. Koretz had entered the raffle at her daughter’s “favorite place on earth,” Windsor’s newest hair salon and photo studio, Hot, Rock, and Dye! “We love going to all the different First Thursday locations on the first Thursday of each month. It’s so much fun!” said Koretz.
Sailor Gruzleski, owner of Hot, Rock, and Dye! participates in First Thursday each month by offering unique specials and free goodies. “For the October First Thursday we offered free photos in our Halloween photo booth, free fall themed cocktails, and $5 pamper sessions, including paraffin treatments and hand and neck massages, all day long.” They saw a crowd of new customers come in.
On the first Thursday of each month from at least 5-7 pm, Windsor retail shops, restaurants and attractions offer great deals, unique entertainment and special events for the public. When you go to any of the 17 First Thursday locations you can enter to win the $50 raffle. Enter at all the locations you visit for additional chances to win. The $50 Chamber Gift Certificate prize can be used as cash at over 40 different local businesses. The Gift Certificates are also available for purchase any time from the Chamber of Commerce.
